Do you remember when I mentioned I visited the TR2 showroom at Thision and something happened? Well, today I get to share the story with you guys. While I was tasting an amazing chocolate cake, these traditional ceramic dishware, handmade designed from Mr. Georgios C. Carabellas, caught my eye. I instantly fell for their nude colour and simple shape. I thought they would look great in mum’s kitchen.
The hours passed by and it was time for me to leave. I wanted to see the new store of TR2 in Kolonaki and I was in a hurry, as you can imagine. As I was standing at the door, I turned around to say bah bye and I noticed that the utensils were standing in a line right behind me. I was surprised at first, but I didn’t pay attention to them so I left.
It was a fine day, so before Kolonaki, I made a stop for a stroll at Thision. I was admiring Acropolis, one of the most beautiful things in Athens and I heard something behind me. I turned around and guess what..The utensils were following me. They had left TR2 and now they were making a line behind my back giggling.
At first I thought «Relax, this has to be a joke. Those utensils can’t be following you». But when I arrived at the suburban railway, I realised it wasn’t funny anymore. I turned around and yelled «Stop following me. Go away».
I tried to not pay attention to them, so I entered the train and arrived at the new TR2 store in Kolonaki. I didn’t even had time to reach the door handle, when I saw them standing in front of me this time. They were crying and begging for some reason I was not able to understand. And then it hit me. «That’s it» I shouted «You want to go to the brand new TR2 store, right?»
When I understood the reason the traditional utensils were following me, I realised I was really mean to them. I gathered them in my basket and carried them inside the new store.
I thought, Mr. Carabellas would like it if I put them nicely on a shelf. And so I did.
Now, I guess the utensils among the other products of TR2 are ready to greet you in their new home at Xanthou street 6 . Tomorrow, the 1st day of March they are waiting us to celebrate the opening of the TR2 thekolonakiedition.
See you there at 8? xx
